OCEAN SAILING ACADEMY

The Southeast's Premier Sailing School

1/2 Day Intro to Sailing
Office friends after work
Half day Sail: Afternoons & Sunsets

Be part of the crew in Charleston Harbor on a comfortable 26 foot sailboat that's both fast and stable; because of the weight of the  keel the boat can't tip over.

Enjoy participating in the sail, from hoisting the main and trimming the jib to handling the tiller.

The experience requires absolutely no prior knowledge of sailing. Our instructors are calm and knowledgeable, and you may participate as much or as little as you like.

"Hi Ned. I just wanted you to know that we all loved our sailing trip with Captain Allen! The kids had a chance to help sail and we all enjoyed the sights of Charleston from the water. Peter learned a lot about sailing, too. It was definitely the highlight of our vacation -- even with the storm at the end. Thank you for making it all possible on such short notice. Happy Sailing!" - Alison Otterman

You'll find our Colgate 26 keelboats to be designed for comfort and userability. They are sized for adults so the boom passes well overhead when tacking through the wind. Each has an instructor back-up system for controlling the main sail (a 'driver's ed second wheel'), and the boat is built to move through the water quickly and nimbly.

Duration: 3 hours

Cost: $95 per person. Reservations one day in advance.
